Notes and provenance
Context, provenance, and rationale for turning the VidSEO repository into a governed canonical surface.
This repository began as a compact interpretability note set.
The current version expands it into a more disciplined reference system because the product now benefits from:
- clearer authority boundaries,
- richer machine discovery,
- stronger version control,
- explicit governance,
- bilingual public surfaces.
Why this rebuild exists
A minimal repository can state the idea.
A governed repository can stabilize the idea.
VidSEO's product positioning is especially vulnerable to drift because it sits at the intersection of:
- WordPress implementation,
- SEO language,
- accessibility language,
- LLM / answer-engine language.
That combination makes overclaiming easy unless boundaries are explicit.
Structural inspiration
This rebuild borrows structural discipline from machine-first reference systems that publish:
- a language selector,
- document registries,
- term registries,
- llms discovery files,
- canonical manifests,
- drift-control rules.
The goal is not to turn VidSEO into a doctrine.
The goal is to give the product a clean reference perimeter.
Provenance rules
- Product meaning comes from canonical VidSEO surfaces.
- Implementation detail comes from the public plugin listing unless superseded by canonical release notes.
- Contextual framing remains subordinate to product definition.
